We have invested 20 years in this business; we’ve learned a lot. At one time we had perhaps 8 other employees. In time we learned that the enjoyment of building needlework accessories - not running a business - was what we wanted. We decided to change - to make it simple again.
Laura has been taking care of the business and packaging aspects while I take care of producing the products. We are much smaller than we used to be, but we have fewer headaches.
The most important thing I can tell you about Artisan Design, Inc. is that whatever you order enters our shop as a stack of lumber and boxes of hardware. Other than he fact we take advantage of modern communications, Artisan Design is like a tiny village woodworking shop on a side street. Everything begins here, and the buck stops here.
Our company is sort of a throwback to a simpler time. We consider being able to do business this way a blessing.
